Magellan GPS Device
Magellan offers portable and portable global positioning systems or GPS. GPS devices help you find a location or find your way home from a location.
Instructions While using the Magellan GPS device
• Make sure you have turned on the Magellan GPS device if your screen is dark. Press your power button, usually located on the front panel or your left or right side.
• Check that the device is fully charged. Some Magellan devices run out of replaceable AAA or AA-size batteries, which die after prolonged use and must be changed. Other Magellan devices work from an internal battery. If so, connect the device to your included AC charging cable, dock or cigarette lighter from your car to charge it. Charging times vary by device, but may take several hours.
• Take the Magellan device off if you are receiving a poor satellite signal, symbolized by the icon in the upper left or right corner of the LCD device's display. Satellite reception may fall when inside the house because the ceiling and walls block the signal. Reception can also be lowered in dense urban districts or in forests or canyons. For the best signal quality, use the device in areas with a beautiful view of the sky.
• Restart the Magellan GPS Device location if you cannot find your position or keep giving the wrong place. Magellan suggests doing this whenever I have travelled more than 500 miles. The setting is usually found in the "User Options" menu of the device. Consult the manual for specific product guidelines in establishing your GPS position, as menu locations and titles will vary.
